Paratha / Roti ka Poha

Hope you all are taking care of yourself and your family. With all the corona crisis around and the lockdown in our country the life style has changed a lot.

But we can see positive side to it and use this time to nurture our hidden creativity. Not just food but let's invest this time with family and create good memories.

I had been working on my new venture Martban for past few months.... Since I make all products at home all by myself I was left with very less time for my blog... I was missing you all so now I dedicatedly be with all of you posting New recipes.. sharing what I have been cooking all these days..

I made Paratha poha today  for breakfast.


It is simple and an interesting breakfast recipe with leftover rotis or parathas.

Paratha/ Roti ka Poha

Serves -2

Ingredients

3 - 4 Leftover Paratha/ Rotis
1/4 cup Peas
1 Small  tomato ( finely chopped)
2 tbsp peanuts
2tsp Oil
1/4 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 tsp jeera
1/4 tsp red chili powder
2 finely chopped green chillies
1tsp salt
1tsp sugar
Pinch of turmeric powder
Juice of half lemon
Coriander for garnishment

Method

  • Make small pieces of paratha with hand. 
  • Grind it in mixer grinder coarsely.. don't make fine powder. See the picture..👆
  • In a pan heat oil and put mustard seeds and jeera...once crackle add peanuts.. 
  • Once peanuts are roasted pink ... Add Peas.. they will splash...so keep flame low and cover lid immediately..
  • Cook peas only for a minute and add green chillies and tomatoes..
  • Now add all masalas- salt, sugar, red chilli and turmeric.
  • Stir nicely and add the paratha poha that we ground in mixer.
  • Mix well... Sprinkle some water so that it remains moist.. cover and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  • Serve hot with a dash of lemon juice and coriander.
Add some Ratlami sev or any bhujia of your choice... You will love it This way.. 
You may also add finely chopped onions as garnish... They taste Good.
